PRE-NUPTIAL AGREEMENTS (BEFORE MARRIAGE)
A prenuptial (or premarital) agreement is "an agreement between prospective spouses made in contemplation of marriage and to be effective upon marriage”. A Prenuptial agreement may deal with a wide variety of issues between prospective spouses including: the rights and obligations of each of the parties in any of the property of either or both of them acquired before the marriage; the rights and obligations of each of the parties in any of the property of either or both of them acquired after the marriage; and the disposition of property upon separation, divorce, or death.
POST-NUPTIAL AGREEMENTS (DURING MARRIAGE)
A postnuptial agreement is a voluntary marriage contract between spouses that is created after their wedding. Many married couples create postnuptial agreements to help resolve issues in their marriage by removing a source of disagreement over finances, assets, inheritances, children, etc.

REVIEW AND MODIFY MARITAL AGREEMENTS
We will review existing agreements and discuss the important controlling parts of the agreement -- in essence interpret the contract for you. Also, we will help you modify the agreement if your lifestyle or other important circumstances have changed. Even if you signed what you thought was a fair Prenup, it's a good idea to update it every five years or so to reflect changes in your income and asset holdings.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
FOREIGN BRIDES
We specialize in protecting our residents in international marriages, who look forward to marrying foreign brides, from the former Russia, Ukraine, Latin America and Asia. There are also many scams out there relating to foreign marriages or the old term "mail-order brides." A prenuptial agreement will protect you! Execute a prenuptial agreement with your foreign bride or groom prior to bringing her or him into the United States. This will allow you to focus on them and not your financial affairs.
SMALL BUSINESS PARTNERS OR OWNERS
A Prenuptial Agreement protects a Business. There is a strong trend where small business partners are entering into, and requiring their partners to enter into, prenuptial agreements before the partners get married. This ensures there is no disruption to the business by either (1) the spouse acquiring a financial interest in the business requiring the other partners to buy that interest upon divorce or (2) the spouse gaining an ownership interest in the business and having voting rights in business decisions.
